In order to provide CNC certified clothing a manufacturer or producer must take the following steps.
- Interested manufacturers and producers should initially either download or request the introduction materials on CNC certification. (Download here)
- Upon review of the introduction materials, those companies wishing to pursue certification request CNC Standards and agree to the terms set forth.
- CNC provides a non-disclosure agreement for process specific information required to accurately provide a carbon footprint assessment.
- Manufacturers and producers submit information for carbon footprint assessment for garments intended to receive certification
- CNC completes initial assessment and requests any further information needed for final certification.
- Licensing agreement and carbon footprint assessment are provided to manufacturer for review and signing.
- CNC will electronically transfer licensed materials to manufacturer or producer for use on certified garments.
